This is the story of Saint Peter and his martyrdom, quite a great story, good old Saint Peter demanding they crucified him upside down… really tough guy.
This is a draft in red chalk (sanguine). I find it quite difficult working in detail with it, so I use it for rough drafts, just for fun… Everything appears blurred.
Again, this is based on a photo based on a play based on a picture by Caravaggio… so many foundations for nothing.
El bueno de Girolamo Savonarola, una especie de ayatollah renacentista que se dedicó a acabar con el cachondeo generalizado de la Florencia de finales del XV y que acabó eliminado por el Papa… para mi sorpresa, resulta que le han dedicado monumentos en varias localidades italianas, es lo que tiene la historia, que también hay que acordarse de los personajes que no tienen por qué caernos bien.

Es una repetición de una acuarela que ya hice anteriormente, como estaba empezando a usar la sanguina tampoco me iba a complicar más. Eso sí, tiene su mérito porque lo dibujé en un barco. Y que bailaba bastante. Sí, el capitán era italiano.

Qué le vamos a hacer, la imagen era bonita, pero la niña tenía una cara rara como un pie. Eso sí, se lo estaba pasando de miedo con las palomas.
